Is there anyone who was never shocked ,embarrassed or felt unconfortable about some Hadiths :ugeek:
I ahave no proof but I am convinced that some of the writings like the Siiraa and most of the Hadiths r written to make joke of our religion.
I suspect the intelligentsia of those conquered by the Arabs during the early expansion of Islam, to be behind this

Except the Qur'an all texts must be analyzed scientificaly ...the method os Silsila is not scientific :ugeek:

If it's wrong to celebrate New Year's is it also wrong to celebrate independence days? What about bank holidays seeing as the haddith is in reference to 'days of rest'?

So celebrating independence day is supposedly Islamic too now? I have never seen or heard of muslims celebrating bank holidays, even if a muslim celebrates a bank holiday such as Christmas or good Friday it doesn't make it right or halal. Just cause your school or place of work is closed during Christmas doesn't mean you are observing that festivity. A lot of people have days of during the week, particularly during the weekend. Does that mean they are celebrating the weekend too?

From the hadith it seems very clear to me that it is referring to the two Eids.

Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came [to Madeenah] and they had two days in which they would (relax and) play. He said, “What are these two days?” They said, “We used to play (on these two days) during the Jaahiliyyah.” The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah has given you something better instead of them: Yawm al-Duhaa[Eid al-Adha] and Yawm al-Fitr[Eid al-Fitr].” (Reported by Abu Dawood).

We have 2 Eids that we celebrate year on year, Its also permissible to celebrate certain occasions such as marriage and the birth of a child for example, as long as this doesn't turn into repeated celebrations i.e wedding anniversaries and birthdays. Otherwise it would constitute as an eid, and there are plenty of examples from the sunnah that those type of celebrations are permissible.
I never said independence day is Islamic lakin I never thought it was haram to celebrate it :?

So hang on are you saying that the only thing you can celebrate on an annual basis are the two eids, everything else under the sun is haram? Hashac what an empty calendar that makes  On a serious note I was told it's haram to have a birthday party because you bring together random people and whatever goes down will be your fault (same as mixed aroos come to think of it) lakin not to celebrate it at all even if its just a family do is a bit extreme no?
