Yea, I am. Ali Kamiin to be exact. Xamar Jadiid was a new neighborhood, it is part of Wardhigley district. We lived close to the Mogadishu Stadium

My dad's from Siigaale Afgooye, interesting huh

My father is from Boondheere, do you know if it has or used to have military houses, where soliders lived?

I would be really curious as to how the name's of the Districts in Mogadishu came and where specific districts named after people or places. Hodan obviously is named after a women and i have no clue what the hell Boondhere means. In Djibouti city we know each other by which Quarter or as we called them Quartier we came from. They Number between 1 to 7 and inside those districts we have Neighborhood names such as Xumbuli.

Yea, I think they did have a military base. Boondheere was the scene of a lot of fighting during colonial times
