Al Shabaab is broken. Their leadership is extremely fractured. Its not gonna be like 2007 unless the TFG allows it to be.
The game is in TFG's hands now, its their to win it. Lets see what they do

the Glorious Somali Nation will rise once again.
The entire Ahlul Sunna rebel forces need to be trained and incorporated into the army. Mogadishu will become the undisputed power in Somalia Insh'Allah
Ethiopia and majerteen openly advocated a federal system (a system of strong autonomous regions) we need to face these enemies. Mogadishu must subdue Garowe.
Indeed, this is what I call liberation!!! A New Era is taking shape in Somalia today and Al Shabaab shall become History soon. They have lost because they have lost the support of the local population whom they have relied on for years. They have been rejected and have no way of ever returning!!!Voltage wrote:It is the best news I have heard in years and it really points to the weakened state of Shabaab. No matter what excuses they give, Al Shabaab has seen climax and now is witnessing exponential decline. This isn't during 2006 Ethiopian invasion when they came in as national liberators with a clean slate. They are now a sullied rag-tag band of oppressors who are being challenged from Galgaduud in the north, in the West, the South, and has been forced to do the unthinkable which is to vacate Mogadishu to the AMISOM troops. From now on, they might give some resistance, but at the end of the day they now realize they have no future as a potent conventional force in Somalia and will find great difficulty in being a guerrilla force with such a hostile population facing them. This is the beginning of the end for their reign of terror.
