As the Turkish Prime Minister said at the OIC conference, some of the cars these Arab kings and Queens drive costs more than what they donated to Somalia. I know Kuwait & the UAE have donated, but so did America. As of now, no country can match the Western Aid especially the US. Kuwait gave 1.3 billion dollars for Katrina. 100 million bucks to them is a drop in the bucket for them and for all intents and purpose the pledged 100 million will never reach Somalia. I have more respect & walaaltinimo for the Ghanian teenager who wants to collect money for his Somali brothers or the Turkush mom that donated her ring for 30 years so that it can benefit the suffering in Somalia. It's the thought that counts.

I don't have cuqdad, never lived in an arab country and never plan to either. I just don't like Saudis mainly because of how they've been treating Somalis....I remember reading how they unjustly carried out the death penalty on some defenceless Somali kids and not to mention how they kept sending people back to Somalia when there was war going on. Those people are just not human and I don't care how much aid they give to Somalis, the wrongs will always remain wrongs and in the history books. Plus they were also the ones funding extremists in Somalia and propagating extremist ideology....they've done more damage than good to Somalis.

By the same token, these same Arab lackeys are quick to criticize Europeans/Americans for every peccadillo even though the latter has done far more for Somalis in the last 40-50 years than Arabs have done for Somalis in the last 2000 years. Europeans/Americans were the only ones who were feeding Somalis in the last 20 years. Where were the Arabs then? Why did Arabs all of the sudden become so generous towards Somalis? Although im not advocating European cuddling regarding Somalia. I do agree on everything you said. In the future Somalia should only look after its own interest, and have a neutral stance regarding world issues far away from us, just like south asian countries have (Japan,southkorea, singapore).
