greenday - its pronounced differently than "dog", I think that's where you're having the hard-time understanding it.

ina aadan - with names like those, you'd end up tempting our grand-mothers & their mothers out of their graves.

I noticed names say a lot about the regions too; the terrains, weather, nomadic vs farming communities, etc.

Golden oldie names are true gems. Everytime I hear Ceebla, Cambaro, Axado, Calaseey, Isniino, etc reminds me of my grandmothers (AUN).

KOA - Roda is a cool name, Dhool too. Not sure if Nadira & Huda are authentic Somali names though.

Greenday Parents/grandparents of the new born always try to choose the name.I am thinking whomever bids highest should get the right. :D

It is a sign of greater cultural decay. I think the main culprit is the lack of education. Even the so-called educated Somalis in the diaspora have little to no knowledge of Somali history, culture and language. Add to that the fact that the overwhelming Somalis are either illiterate or semi-illiterate which makes the brainwashing and misleading of Somalis relatively easy.
