That patch represents a seperate enclave called Somaliland that your current "cousin" prime minister {nor any of his other "cousin" predecessors } does not control to this day !
And who the fuck wants to control your enclave? No rivers, no oil - no reason to even want it. I think its the only region since the civil war that no faction fought for. Even the British used your region as a feeder to supply its more important Aden colony with abundant and cheap animals.

Lax waliba meeshay is dhigtaa lagu qalaa. Muqdisho iyo Somalia ayagaa heerka is gaarsiiyey where an entity bringing what seems to be literally 8 cartons of itself donated materials can politicize such a giving, however small, and parade their flag on their breastplate in order to send a political message.

:| I think it is at least a bit dignifying Sheikh Sharif, as claimant to "president", did not meet the group with such clear political aims and instead left them up to society to have their presence facilitated.

I know Hadraawi is not a man who is probably happy about carrying that flag in that publicity stunt manner and was probably forced to do it on condition of being a part of the delegation.

Oday Siilaanyo Soomaali jacalyka lagu sheego haday sidaan tahay, Soomaali jacayl xaal ha qaadato

Somaliland Delegation Deliver Aid to Famine Hit People in Mogadishu
24 September 2011

Mogadishu — A Somaliland delegation led by prominent poet has arrived in Mogadishu to deliver aid to famine stricken families in conflict torn capital on Saturday.

Members of Benadir regional administration led by Mogadishu mayor Mohamed Ahmed Nur Tarzan, some of Somali MPs and famous singers have warmly and cordially welcome the Somaliland delegation at Mogadishu international airport.

The Mogadishu mayor said that he was very pleased to see and welcome the Somalilanders spearheaded by Somalia's well-known poet Mohamed Warsame Hadrawi, thanking for their visit to Mogadishu and their sympathy with their starving brothers and sisters in Somalia.

Speaking to the media, the famous poet Hadrawi said that he was very happy in visiting Mogadishu to help famine victims.

The spokesman of Somaliland delegation Mohamed Shukri Jama said the Somaliland people have sent 13.5 tonnes of food aid destined to assist the famine displaced people in the capital.

You are going off topic. Aid is aid and should never be faulted whether large or not. I think what I added on that got Greenday so upset was the blatant politicization that seems absolutely politicized and reprehensible.

If by reprehensible politicisation you mean the delegation wearing the Somaliland flag on their jackets, that is no problem as such tbh and nor is it detrimental to the famine affected people in any way.

With all due respect, I am not sure you are capable of looking at the geo-strategic implications and juxtaposing its ramifications in light of the stated objectives of the "mission", both for the consequence involving the "State" you wish to impress as well as the "society" you wish to help.

With all due respect, stop talking out of your ass :-@ . Any lasting political implications that this event were to have, especially in the context of all other outstanding issues and daily occurences, is if anything barely negligible. [edit]

I find it offensive that you belittled the aid given Voltage. What is wrong with these people

This was from the Zakat of the people, from their pockets. This entity you are talking about,is largely poor.I mean, maybe when your TFG finally gets its head out of its butt, then we can ask it for something like a pocket change.

LOL so basically, you lot are saying: If you're gonna donate or give us something, don't show us the flag'' ?
