Re: Educate a woman
The only way I would even consider stepping into kitchen with the unfortunate woman who marries me is if she requested that I did not pay Maher. To me, once a woman receives maher, she is contractually obligated to cook and clean and provide all the other wifely services. By not doing so, she is in breach of the contract and cannot expect payment. A contract is a contract is a contract... rules of acquisition.

She works, has her own money, pays her own way, and refuses to cook and clean. What's the point? Why does she stick around? It's obviously cause she's banking on him to be a donor further down the line. Halaal sex and sperm. That's all marriage is nowadays.

Green - okay would u be happy if he stays at home and u provide for him financially? Pay the aroos, house furniture and all?
50/50 doesnt not mean we BOTH go in the kitchen and cook and clean the same time. To me 50/50 is one does one activity and the other different activity for the family.

Where did I say that? Go back and read what I read.greenday wrote:But what you are suggesting is the same! you work etc. yet you dont want to cook and clean now why are you there for? at least we know why women are there for (sperm) Whats wrong with 50/50? and you both get what ever reason you are there for! its a win win
Anyway, my point is the general view of marriage today is "halaal sex/sperm". That's it. Everyone has their own money and everyone is expected to clean up and feed themselves.
What's the point in marriage?

Re: Educate a woman
Xaliimo. As little faith i have of humans,i still think they are people who will have the same goals and mutual respect to make it work.Marriage shouldnt be a battlefield and based on who can control more and get away with it.
Theoretically speaking, If we both worked,i expect him to make the salad while i cook the vegs.
There is nothing sadder than having the look i have seen on some Somali married couples.Even ma worst enemy doesnt have that look walking near me.Nafta ilaahay makalifin,if ish doesnt work and u know u have done ur best, grab ur stuff and move on.

Am why would he stay at home for? am not stay at home and i dont think i was saying lets both get into the kitchen not that it cant happen but what am saying is if we both come from work and i made food yesterday, whats wrong with asking him to cook today while i clean? why should i be the one who runs to the kitchenXaliimoFarax wrote:Green - okay would u be happy if he stays at home and u provide for him financially? Re: Educate a woman
Marriage is not about money or who cleans, its about affection and company you get from the other person as humans we need emotional support.Alphanumeric wrote:Where did I say that? There is no emotional support when it's all competition.
