When I went to Malaysia I saw guys so passionate about football even when Fullham & Everton are facing each other in the EPL they talk about as though it is world cup final. I wasn't surprised because most those guys got the luxury to watch football only now so maybe all the folks who talk about this shitty competition as though it is a major competition are like the guys I saw Malaysia.

The last African cup in Angola was utter shit, the Ghana 08 one was grandiose. Haven't been following this one but seems that the host matches are a must watch.

My only complaint is that all players look exactly similar, zooming in being the only solution to tell who's who.

Jai, I think he was comparing you to the fellas he saw in Malaysia. Basically he is saying that you only discovered footie recently hence the reason your're so passionate about this tournament.

Anyway, I havnt seen the match but so I cant comment in how erm...spectacular... the game was lol. :D But hey, I dont dislike the ACON, quite the opposite actually, it just doesnt really seem like every game is a must watch for me. Sorry.

Official Africa Cup of Nations Thread

Post by AbdiWahab252 »

Mods: Please make this a sticky.

I am watching the Ghana vs. Zambia game. What a freaking game. Ghana looks like it is going to lose against Zambia. This is especially akward because Ghana missed the a penalty shot which would have left them equal with Zambia which is one point ahead. Ghana played the better game and had more possessions but Zambia kept up the pressure and scored one.

Is it me or are you annoyed with the white presenters ? Its the freaking Africa Cup of Nations, you'd think they could get black African presenters.

Go ZAMBIA !

Ohhhhhh Ohhhhhh what? Did Zambia just win! Was Kalaba (or was it Kalabar loool) an excellent player? Well done to them! I cannot wait to see the final now :D

Normally, I'm a Ghana supporter but for some reason I was with Zambia this time. Well done to the Ghanaians, they are a good team and an upcoming country!!

The Zambians were crazy with defence loool, but it payed off!

Africaaa!

Cote D'Ivoire's Golden Generation's last chance to win a trophy. They can't flop. Hope DD, Kolo Habib Toure, ElHajj Yaya Toure, and Gervinho finally get a chance to lift a cup.
