I always liked the turks and their commitment to pragmatic, secular governance.

TURKISH AIRLINES FLYING TO BOSASO OR BERBERA WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER IDEA.
Bosaaso has no tarmac runway. Its just gravel and no large plane can land there.
Berbera has no market. On any given day, more people fly into Mogadishu than Hargeisa, Berbera, Bosaaso, Galkacyo.
But then again, you are just hating on Xamar because you are a jealous bitter Northie Nobody who has no place in the South. Stay in North !
BTW haven't you guys learnt anything about putting all your eggs in one basket. Why are all the bees buzzing around Mog, why not other cities in the south as well? and don't tell me Muqdisho is safer.
For the same reason, Hargeisa is the capital. Its where the action is and resources are. Burco being a nice town ain't a place where everyone is buzzing to when they have access to Hargeisa.

Trust me, Burco is where the action is these days. My father and cousin are up there right now and they're saying property is selling like hot cakes and new businesses are going up like nobody's business.AbdiWahab252 wrote:

I agree.AbdiWahab252 wrote:Turkey is investing in Somalia because its a low cost engagement in a country shunned for many years. Investing now in Somalia makes Turkey get inroads into Somalia before other countries and their projects help foster good will among all Somalis. Smart geopolitics

We should consider how to thank Turkey. They are a brotherly country but they arent doing it for free. Seeking reward in this life or hereafter. Lets not forget that.
Just words is nothing.

We could use Turkey to bolster our infant economy the way South Korea used Japan in 1960-70s. We can learn all the technical expertise in industry and manufacture in a short space of time if we play our cards right.HutuKing01 wrote:AbdiWahab252 wrote:Turkey is investing in Somalia because its a low cost engagement in a country shunned for many years.
