There's actually this somali dude who is technically missing since the early 2000s. Everyone knows where the guy is; he moved out of the country and is back home in Africa and has been there ever since. He's technically still "missing" in the eyes of the police and his photo is up online. This is how you know the police don't care. They didn't take the time to go around the community asking a few questions about this man's whereabouts. They practically 7-8 years to do this.... something that could have been cleared up in 5 minutes

About this story , I really don't know .
Cops are necessary in any society . In my city right here in the US , they're pretty alright , some are even nice , let me slide a couple of times, took me home istead of jail , back when I was a freshie . It took me while to understand that the problem wasn't with the police but with me .
