On a related topic; in December, a qaraabo qansax of mine ayaa gabar loo doonaayey; we had a wonderful lunch and after the lunch we were served with two Marduufs each. Waan naxay!
Greenday, I think I know Xamar very well. Ironically, I have only lived there a few years. I was Avicenna's neigbour. During this short period I gained geographical insights into our capital city.

Lam, 2 marduuf oo qaad ah? Like the real, leafy one or the dried on in bags? I thought they couldn't get the fresh one into these countries!

Greenday, Reer London cajiib waaye. Qaad is part of everything. Naagaha xataa waay cunaan. My worst experience was when I met this Cambaro who said "ii imaaw waan kuu goglayaa" and in my naive brain I thought she meant "waa kuu sheekeynayaa". When I came home to her, she had fadhi carbeed, uunsi (foox), wore a dirac, and had a macaawiis ready for me and asked me "aaway jaadkii"?
