Yes Africa is a shithole, yes that's due to african lack of ambition and intellectual laziness. Lakiin prefering colonialism is one thing I have never expected to hear from a somali.

Walaahi our ancestors must be crying in their graves right now.

Colonialism is always bad we should never accept that.
I rather rule my people not all of africa is bantu and stupid guys.

1. European colonizers weren't all the same, they were extremely different some were undeveloped less advanced than others, and the same was true for Africans.

2. Europeans were just as divided as Africans some may argue that they were even more divided and chaotic than Africans, one of the things that united them was Race superiority and the colonization of Africa, but even that was not enough for some of them and they plunged into war which lead to the creation of both League of Nations and later United Nations.

3. Science, Economy, technology and development is not inherent to anyone, the question is who can decipher it and make use of it to one day add something of his own. If it was inherent to different groups of people there wouldn't be need for trade secrets, etc etc. I believe with Somalis ability to adopt and learn fast we are capable of becoming the first Super Power to come out of Africa in the future.

4. Europeans did not come to Africa with the intention to enlighten us, they came to oppress and exploit us, and we were better of without them. Sure some of their techniques and methods did rub of on some of us, but again for what purpose ? to create a tiny privileged group who were to police and maintain the masters order, not to advance and educate the native people.


conclusion, it is quite disappointing that we have to ask our selves such redicilous questions, no we were not better off, interaction with superior technology and science can happen through alliances(political/religious), trade, migration, education, war etc. there is no need for oppression and a super power sitting on you for several hundred years whiles keeping as much information from you as possible, in fact encouraging your ignorance and feeding you backwardness and things that create internal conflict.

if someone else thought like this i would approve.. you know slaves are usefull but

The western education system is incredible. It takes potentially smart non-Westerners and spits out idiots who think they are enlightened by parroting the gospel taught to them.

Truly incredible that one whose ancestors were exploited thinks its a good idea to have a replay of servitude.

Thank god the civil war got completely rid of the Italian language in Somalia or the post-colonial Italian influence. Almost nobody in Somalia nowadays speaks a word of Italian.
