Somalinet should have just one single Forum Rule: Discussions can only be about ideas and events, and never about individuals.
Now, back to topic. I always wonder about the state in which Somalis find themselves today. We are able to count the names of at least 15 of our forefathers, yet when it comes to their accomplishments, there is nothing else to brag about other than how they hunted animals, butchered this tribesman and that, and fathered countless children. We are truly a group of individuals who are enslaved by their narrow thinking and shortsightedness. We have not yet realized that the only entity more powerful than a tribe is a nation of tribes. Our similarities are endless in comparison with most nations of the world, yet we are quick to fight with our neighbors because they have a different dialect or God-Forbid they were not fathered by our great-great-great-great grandfather. Our energy and focus is mainly on those who are closest to us. We turn those who could benefit us the most into arch-enemies, and in return befriend a stranger that will use, exploit, and humiliate us into non-existence.

Funny. Sad. True.
