I think we shouldn't ridicule Yalaxow's views, but try to understand where he's coming from. He went out of Somalia when he was a teenager (about 15). Teens at that age are easily influenced/impressioned by what they see and whom they interact with. I think he was touched and deeply impressed by gaalos and what he managed to achieve in their countries, something many people only dream about. I remember during my childhood and teenage years, I used to think the movies I used to watch as a utopian dimension nearly impossible to reach. I can only imagine what a teenage Yalaxow felt reaching and touching that dimension. The opportunity to be offered free food, free shelter, free education (particularly for children), free healthcare, the opportunity to be employed, the opportunity to become a citizen of the First World, etc-- can overwhelm some people. Such people feel indebted to, and awed by gaalos, hence why they fiercely defend them in every opportunity. Other people leave their faith, culture, community, people, etc-- and even become anti-Islam and anti-Muslim. However, these people are a minority, as most people do not turn out like Yalaxow or the extreme types (like Ayan Hersi). So, try to understand dotoore Yalaxow isn't an anomaly.
