There is no timidity on the part of Silanyo's gov . You can't be half way here , half way there !
Everything is conditional and one step at the time .
Furthermore you can't buck like a wild horse every time something dislpeases you for whatever reason . You find solutions to work around it while keeping the big picture in mind
Silanyo is much wiser than Cigaal believe me .
Cigaal , my tribal relative , was impulsive sort of like I am  , I am glad we have Silanyo as our leader

- Al-shabab should be encouraged and controlled to help us gain leverage.

Instead Somaliland is travelling around the world begging. Nobody gives you sh!t, youtake whats yours..
I totally agree. SL has become a nation of islaamo, neither here nor there. You are either a part of Somalia and should take your place at the head of others, or you should be aggressively pursuing secession using a mixture bribery, war and diplomacy to gain independence. Lakiin ayeeyo Siilaanyo hasn't got the balls and that corrupt bitch before him only bled the country dry. I guarantee you if you offered half the so called Tfg parliament millions of dollars in exchange for a referendum to be held in SL they would all be falling over themselves for a quick buck. These are the same people that invited xabashis and the cast of Planet of the Apes into Somali territory. They don't have an ounce of patriotism in the bodies.

Xplaya south sudan only got the vice president position during their 5 year transition period.
Why do you want positions in xamar when xamar laws will not apply to us, this is one of the red lines that cannot be crossed.
The internationally community cannot force us to be liable to xamar laws, they already said somaliland and somalia should come to an agreement.
if we are being forced into federalism which means comming under the laws of the federal government, then you can talk about representation.

We will not be losing anything in these talks, but we can gain allot.

and as for somalilands economy.
What did you expect? 18% growth rates , asian tiger like growth?
any government we have will be subject to IMF/World Bank/WTO diktats meaning no meaningful development will be possible at all.
Our previous governments where ignored and islolated and could have tried unorthodox policies expressly forbidden by the powers that be.

anyway why are you bringing economics into this?
How will xamar benefit us economically when it cant even govern itself, yes people will flock to xamar but it will because of personal business oppurtunities.
isaaq have allot of capital and business skills and there is so much potential down in the south, and the weakness of the government is added advantage because it mean more profits.

How will the poor people living in Somaliland benefit from Xamar?. Would it not be more or less the same as before?. It doesn't make sense, there are poor people everywhere and the rich were and will always be the ones who gain the most regardless of the ball game or context. Logically, the problem with them can only be solved by confronting them and repairing the issues and laws within the country instead.
