I remember in school the black people used to discuss if Somalis are black and one time they said "Somalis are not black, they don't look like us" and another one said "They are black" then another one said "Just because you're from Africa doesn't make you black" I was sitting there like cool story bro. Anyway the moral of the story is we are not the same as these people. They don't think so, so why beg it. I'm never going to say I'm black again, I used to say it just to avoid the long shxt. NO ONE thinks we're black and for you idiots to argue that you are is begging to be something you're not.
You can't allow other people's ignorance to outweigh common sense. I've seen whites and Asians who make a clear distinction between Somalis and African-Americans. If you think about it, it's ridiculous that the Europeans can accept the diversity that exists within their racial group from the Norwegian to the hairy Arab looking guy living in Sicilia, while we actually pause to measure the width of some African person's nose to create unnecessary distinction. We keep forgetting that Somali features are not unique in Africa, and therefore should not be used as an excuse to justify why we are possibly not black. You could be black and still be Somali, since blacks come in different shades, textures, and physical features.
The skin is the largest organ of the body, and if we can't even clearly identify what color it is, then we are blind.

but the point I'm making here is that we are not from the same "race" as them, lets except it and move on.
