beenta mahan even the ciyal suuq would not wanna marry someone who complements him (in other words he wants the opposite) so basically its a disaster for the ciyal suuq chick.Lillaahiya wrote:salool wrote:

The more promiscuous one is, the harder it is for them to commit. More importantly though, a guy reason "why should I marry her if the whole city ran through her?". She may not want marriage but let's not mistake that with having a large pool of potentials to pick out from.

There are qualities in a woman that is more important above all: 1) she knows her way around the kitchen, 2) she is well versed in the kama sutra and 3) she knows never to fart in my presence. Everything else is negotiable.

Hyper and Hilaac,
You know BV is a true feminist when even a survey meant for guys allows girls to participate even if their option is useless. Basically she is saying the last option is for girls that just want to participate.

Goodness, I don't see hypocracy, just because you wear it at some occasions and not on others doesn't mean your a hypocracy. Hypocracy is if you don't wear it and judge others for not wearing it.Jasmine6 wrote:Where do you draw the line between being culturally sensitive and being a hypocrite?

Re: Gentlemen su'aal - Le Hijab
What's the difference between being a non hijabi (headscarf) but wearing one when you get to the somali gathering/area and wearing the cabaya when leaving the house but taking it off when you get to your destination?
Yes in the first scenario she may just not want to cause offense but if she's chosen to disobey Allah's commands, why pretend around people?

Jasmine exactly. I mentioned I never wore it. I prefer consistency, as opposed to a cycle of epiphanies. Some people are not decisive though. I find it fascinating how individuals say they wouldn't marry non hijabi when most of their parents didn't wear one pre-civil war. Yet we have a preponderance of individuals that say one thing and do the opposite.
That is their own business not my place to intercede in others affairs.

Re: Gentlemen su'aal - Le Hijab
It's perspective, let's say we have two people, one believes that they must wear hijab (like you do) and the other thinks not. I'm taking about the latter, in that case it would be akin to professional attire as opposed to casual, what differentiates one from the other is the setting. I'm not having an argument on the moral aspect of it. It's her choice whether she adheres to those tenants that says she must wear ut or not, what I'm saying is I'm not judging her for her choice.
