This wasn't a topic ever discussed in our home, and I'm glad because there are far more interesting things a family can talk about. From what I know about tribes, I learned from relatives and other Somalis.
Wow, what a bunch of morons. 90% of the malis in here are in denial. Almost all of them learn qabilism at home. But its easy to blame on outsiders- -'relatives' 'neighbor's ---disgusting.

I am, however, curious to know why the queen of qabilism is not in here. (kambuli) :stylin:

I learnt qabilism from my affectionate rich grand mother. We would get diamond earing every time we name 17 odeeyaal back to our qabil. :stylin:

In my household we don't discuss politics or qabiil, some of you might find this a bit shocking, but no one in my family knows their abtirsi besides my parents. :snoop: Everything I know I learned it through reading.

I was 11 years old. My father, mother, uncles and aunties taught me it. I learnt different things about qabil from different relatives. I learnt about my Reer Abti clan from my mother and abtiyaal. Whereas my own clan from my father and adeerayaal. It was very interesting lesson and grateful to have learnt it from my dearest people.

Realy! Then how we can explain away your unconditional love for the late Afweyne? I still can recall few threads you deleted regarding Afweyne

Its true tho, with the exception of mj's....most of daroods kids are unaware of their qabiil lol, issaq kids be on their abtirsi game in no time tho Lol

I never really cared for qabiil even if it were discussed around me at a young age, I had more important things to do. Even when I joined this site I was called a sheegato lol. Inshallah I don't plan on teaching my kids, they will find out on their own.

You claimed you didnt know you were mareexaan, then how did your parents explained to you all those state welfare cheques? That should gave you a clue as to what tribe you were
