Dhulbahante were more or less unscathed during the USC/moryaan massacres in Xamar 1991.
As we were northerners by culture and ethics we had very little interaction with the southerns....unless it was at the end of a bayonet.
the majority of dhulbahante families withdrew from Xamar with our military...the other daroods mistakenly believed that their anti govt stance would save them from the Hawiye hordes.
We fought a number of rearguard actions killing hundreds of excited moryaan.
Caydiid even offered money/rations to anybody whom could deliver/kill Dhulbahantes.
There is a video of him actually saying this.
The same was true in the north.
The SNM massacred every non iidoor clan except Dhulbahantes.
So it is little wonder folk bring a carjacking to the forum.
PS we have thousands of Ceyr living among us....if we were so inclined we could annihilate them in an instant.

I'm not pertaining this into a in-depth discussion about 19kal caraar we all know how it ended, during the civil war, many dhulbahantes who hadn't fled or were captured by USC were secretly safeguarded by Duduble and Ceyr, to this very day those relations are untainted, and verse-vice for fiqiishiini in Sool. As for dhulbahante not having any association with the south is untrue, their were tons in Bay and Bakool and Lower Juba, haven't you heard about battles of kismaayo. Perhaps you as an individual has more ties with northerners, which is really not up for discussion.

I'm talking about central region and it's recent occurrence, The carjacking isn't the first incident that has come out of Guri-Ceel, their was another incident involving a woman and her son who were kidnapped just recently. Apparently dhulbahante subclans (reer cilmi and Omar Weceys) in the central region have this connection with duduble, whenever duduble battles with ceyr, Reer Cilmi has a repeating habit of intervening, and they're reminded from to time by Ceyr.
-
My question is how come reer elmi and omar weceys are the only dhulbahante subclans that lives with hawiye and Dir lands, you won't find any in abudwaaq, there's bunch in Xeraale, Guriceel, Ceelbuur ? considering your northerner by default, you'd be clueless to this. perhaps one who isn't northerner can answer this.

Militiamen hailing from the Ayr clan carjacked a lorry belonging to a Dhulbahante owner in Guri-Ceel in the morning of 30/12. The carjacking was reportedly motivated by clan revenge.![]()

Arman....we know of these Dhulbahante subclans.....there are many in shabelle dhexde.
They left the Nugaal during the Darwiish era and British genocide.
They are part of the local diya paying groups....for all intents and purposes Hawiye.
We lost very few people in the civil war.....does that irk you...so much so that you have revel in a mere carjacking?

Re: Would Ethiopia agree on this land exchange ?
I think your mind went rather far left than right where I was expect a meeting of the minds, which involves an incident that happened in 2012, among other things, in central region, but some how you think I'm taking a jab, for what ? I'm neither dhulbahante nor does the battlement of innocence better my day by any means. I think you're use to warding off that much, that even a mere question puzzles you, take a chill pill, and go find out why your kin are avoiding to live with their brothers the marehaan in Abudwaaq

The Marehan moved south at about the same time.....I think.
Again I ask you.....a carjacking that happened two years ago...why bring it up now....of what significance is it to anyone?

Re: Would Ethiopia agree on this land exchange ?
Now your just lost, marehan have been in abudwaaq for ages, the carjacking ties back to another incident which I mentioned, and knowing your dhulbahante, I thought you knew about your people in the region ? apparently not.
