first, Buraq is not a horse. it is smaller than horse and bigger than donkey no wings.

second, the prophet used Buraq from Makkah to Quds (Israa') from Quds to Sidrat-el-montaha (where the heaven ends) and just under the carshullah malak Jibril aya u qaday. first journey called Isra'a and second one Mec'raj.

I know but hajj is only compulsory for those who can afford going. Thus, it's best for you to go once in your life, as the prophet (saw) only went once, and if you can afford to go again, pay for someone who can't. Hence my answer although I'm prolly wrong
