have you ever seen those political cartoons somalis make of themselves? or how about the pictures the ethiopians have in their churches? Somalis and Ethiopians also draw themselves with reddish skin. Eventhough most of our people are black. I wouldn't take representation in art as self-fufilling.Grant wrote:

Also you gotta remember who the Nubians were. They were pretty much the ancestors of the modern day dinka and other nilotic speaking peoples. Those are probably the blackest people on earth. So black that you could put a dinka beside any cushtic speaker or bantu speaker and they would make them look light skin.
The Ancient Egyptians looked like us. They looked like the Oromo. They looked like the other cushtic speaking peoples of the horn. Minus the partial non-African ancestry we've acquired over the last thousand years.
