No true SKywalker Siilaanyo was not SNM til his birth Siilaanyo he joined in SNM in 1983 , Silaanyo is a different caliber though a strong leader but never as Charismatic leader as Cigaal , Siilaanyo is a gudi man he believes in gudi. Cigaal was a decision maker. When Cigal was alive no one dared to claim the Somaliland throne , with Silaanyo its different his own Ministers try to undermine him.

Xildiid in 1991 the SNM was consolidating power in Somaliland and there was no room for him , In borama he won the SNM votes and the non SNM votes he won over 80% of the votes he defeated Selebaan gaal and Cumar Carte Qaalib and Tuur. he wrote the Somaliland constitution its totally his work wit the help of a Sudanese Law maker.
