There is also a great shot of a hangool near the bottom.

I must say that, in the 60"s, the dress in the North and South was different. The originally white cloth in the north was usually somewhat the color of the local soil and had no pattern. Formal cloth in the South was the locally made Futa Benaadir. The everyday stuff was colorfully patterned cloth woven in India or Pakistan. Women in the South generally covered their hair, something that seemed optional in the North. Actually, I don't remember seeing it in miyi.

Talking of hangool what is a long hangool called horta.Ma lule baa.Platinum miyi means the countryside or baadiye as some call it

traditionally our culture has always been middeleastern but it seems Indian ocean trade has perverted our culture.
