So very true. As a Somali female I don't take offense at the odd comment or topic by men especially when there are hundreds of halimos on twitter and tumblr constantly degrading Somali men. But im concerned with the permeation of feminine values into the new generation of somali females. You will find me criticizing these hippie social activist xalimos because i oppose the message that they spread. i'm also opposed to the militant " pro Black campaigning" social activist (largely also composed of xalimos) but that's for another day.
This new generation of social media activists are a bundle of contradictions. I saw one chick insult Somali men in favor of some jareer and then she proceeded to tweet "All praises due to the most high, Waaq" because she wants to reconnect with her Somali culture.
