at all.It wasn't in the 2008 Hargeisa bombings that rer Burco were rumoured to have said that.It was a dacaayad that rer Hargeisa made up in 1977 when the Ethiopian airforce bombed Hargeisa.

Bro thanks for the correction. I heard it in 2008 sidaan u qosley. This was after the bombing and the guy who told me was a burcawi freind.

Lol@ boqor of Somalia. Dad baa biyaha kulul ku luqluqday.

I have never heard of this clown. If there was a boqor of the whole of Somalia, it certainly woildn't be from dooro.

The real boqors are Dir/Walashma and Ajuuraan.

The hell with this dude and his arab attire!

I hate arab bootyclappers! Why can't he wear a traditional somali robe and traditional turban instead of this crap!

It's the other way round. They had their boqor for a very long time. Those denying the boqor are the ones dying for boqortooya

tnx a gazillion times M-Nomad! Do have access to more images of this man? This man had a two-story seaside mansion in Alula (over 100 yrs ago), one of the most beautiful places in Somalia before venturing to and establishing Hobyo. The oldest building in Galkaio (now owned by the city) was his too. @ the time most somalis were nomads and chilling @ the beach was almost unheard of...

I don't understand ,there's really no indication of anything Somali, no cultural regality in his attire.

I'd imagine a Somali Sultan, Ugas, Malaq or any individual holding a title would dress like these men below.

geo, our national attire was two white sheets made from grain bags for a long time :) lama goodle = laba gole = with two sheets. Arabs brought Islam and a lot of other things, including their culture to us. The white man brought in pants, shirts, etc... lol Besides, we don't write our history and everything we know about our ancestors has been written by non-somalis, from non-somali perspective.

To our dear southerners,

We don't need your hate as you already have a king... Yoweri Museveni of Ugandishu. I dislike hating on Mog but you brought it upon yourselfs. As for Hawiye being the largest clan, last time I checked oppressed stateless people (of Uganda) cannot be regarded as citizens. :smugruss: :diddy: :russ: :russ: :shaq:
Lol don't cry it's not that deep.

The issue people are having isn't whether or he should be a boqor, but the claim that he's the king of all of Somalia and preaching that false claim to young children. I'm guessing a lot of parents were like :wtf: when their kids came home and said they met the King of Somalia lol.

Boqor Burhan :deadrose: :deadrose: I had to log in for this one.

Wow, thanks for the laugh. :dead:

Walle indha adayga nocaan ah somaali uu daa. Not even a wikipedia page to corroborate the 'King Burhan of Somalia' tale yet they pull the whole thing without flinching and such ease.

 @ the flushed cadaan lady at 1:48 min probably thinking, "Lady, wth!! I may not know your language but I'm pretty darn sure I didn't say what you're rambling on and on about."

I bet they will be over the moon if their kids said to them they met queen Elizabeth in school today.

Boqorka soomaliyeed yan la mucaaradin just because he is from a different qabiil than your one

If I'm not mistaken, this guy was crowned Boqorka Darood not Boqorka Somaliyeed. You'd be scratching your head as well if Cabdi Waraabe (Suldaan of Isaaq) came to a school in the West and claimed to be the Suldaan of Somali people
