Dear Buraanbur, it would be wise if you do not engage in lies. I never threatened to ban Meta ( I would have banned him months ago when he created a thread in my name); I warned him/adviced him and he has wisely followed my advice.

Kaligood muslims are a threat to the existence of diaspore somalis and also back home. They should never be given a venue on Somalinet or any other site for that matter to engage in odious discourse to brainwash our ppl. Somalinet should not become the favoured website of the kaligood muslims to spew hatred,

I fail to understand why islam should be the subject of discussions amongst somalis. As I wrote several times, if you are a muslim - and have knowledge of the subject- and you find someone who disagrees with your views, use persuasion, good language and explanations instead of putting labels and using offensive language. If you engage in foul language, you are basically against the foundations of the faith you intend to defend.

What about atheists who come here and purposely insult our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)? What did the world come down to? Banning people for calling them atheists but allowing them to attack our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?

It seems this site is heading to be somaliatheistforum.net.

Let borrow LAMAGOODLE sentences, paragraph and phrases:
Atheists, zealots, racists, qabilistes and yeah almost anyone with a view is welcome as long you respect the rules of the forum and respect the views of others.
a)We have the holier than thou crowd and their cheerleaders, who constantly evoke the “atheist” card when challenged. If you think you are a good muslim, why don’t use reason to engage people you disagree with instead of insults? Isn’t islam about showing mercy? Isn’t islam about using pedagogics to convince? Isn’t islam a religion of tolerance? When did Islam become a religion of hatred?

b)Terrorist sympathisers who explicitly and implicitly promote this cancer for sinister reasons. We have members who for reasons unbeknown to me and others, have a questionable motives.

c)People who use labels on members they disagree with; an example; the member who labelled Dr. Yalaxow as an atheist on this thread despite repeatedly denied by the Dr. that he is not. Isn’t this a crime in islam? Also on the other members that have been signalled out; are you sure? who gives you the right to judge?

Maybe you should be permanently banned for lying? Maybe you should be permanently banned for calling a fellow muslim an atheist?

d)Racists ; it is sardonic to say the least that some of the kaligood muslims use racism as a card even though they act pious ( see how some members (including some on this thread constantly) attack the muslim somali bantus).

e)Tribalists who on some sections of these forums spew hatred towards other tribes. Visit the political section, the Puntland, the Somaliland, the regional sections and you’d find members whose hatred towards other clans is a recurring theme. These same members play the pious card but constantly call other somali muslims “hutu” “iidor” “ faqash” and other labels of ferocity and barbarism.
This what Sharif Lamagoodle sheikh aways Sheikh Osman wrote and it answer most of your Q.
So the term 'atheist' is an insult now? :mindblown: It's a label millions of people in the world use to describe themselves. If someone identifies as an atheist, then what is wrong with calling them one? What next, we can't use the terms jareer weyne, bantu, sufi, salafi, etc? This is ridiculous.

In Lamagoodles entire list he did not once mention people like Mclovin who come on this forum for the sole purpose of baiting Muslim members and insulting our religion. It took you guys this long to ban AbdiJohnson and, even then, you couldn't agree on whether it should be for one month or permanently, despite the fact that he insulted our prophet and routinely used to find pleasure in the bombings of Muslim civilians. Obviously to the likes of you and Lamagoodle, blasphemy falls under freedom of speech but clan politics and ethnic pride is 'barbaric'. :-@ Discussing Bantus is not racist and this forum has several subsections devoted to Somali politics and clan politics, but now you want to police if/when/how we can discuss these topics? This is just like when Lamagoodle threatened to ban Meta for using an avatar that was available on Snet as a pre-loaded avatar.

Lamagoodles post did not clarify anything, but made things even more confusing. Your rules are not clear and can be circumvented by using passive-aggressive dialogue like they do on Somaliaonline, which I suspect is exactly what you're trying to make us do. Neither of you understand what freedom of speech is and I don't think anyone will bother adhering to rules you don't even seem to follow yourself. Good luck trying to police a forum without any members. :?

Gerigoor, If someone insults the prophet, report it and it will be dealt with. Generally, attacks don't come out of the blues. It is often the result of members who claim to be muslim but do not know how to convince others. Why don't you use the strategy of pursuading the "atheist"? Why don't you inform - in a good manner- the atheist about islam? Why dont you show the atheist that your religion can withstand attacks by individuals?

Wasn't that how the prophet did?

If you are passionate about islam, you don't call people atheists; you call them "my fellow somali" and then engage in a discussion that is civilised. That does the trick and the "atheist" will never dare engage in rants. Try that.

BTW, I have yet to see a somali atheist. What some people call "atheists" are people who do not share their narrow view of islam. "Atheist" has become the term for kaligood muslims to use when they cannot win arguments in the spirit of islam.

P.s. tribalists cannot claim to be holier than others.

P.s.s cheerleading in bad faith is against the basics of islam

This is actually good. Somalis are learning to rule them selves,

When I read this thread I remembered Gerald Hanley's book.

What is the book about Prince?

I thnk the key is using arguments and good languae to pursuade.

We have become a nation of seef-la-boods. A nation where everybody thinks he is an islamic scholar. Unfortunately, those members of these boards who cry "atheists" are day in and day out on record calling for the deaths of somali muslims in somalia for belonging to the wrong tribe. How can they decide who is a muslim or not when they themselves promote death on somalis?

I agree with you when it comes seef-la-boods and their selective memory of Islam.

The books was written by a Irish soldier who was based in Somalia in the early days of 20c and explains how it is hard to rule Somalis.

I was very surprised at the character called Baranbur defending Islam!

Thanks, I will read it.

The seef-la-boods- are partime muslims. They are qabilistes who want to murder other muslims one minute and the next minute they are "pious".

Last week, I read the contributions of the seef-la bood members on these boards, and I found a strong link between their dislike for other somalis and their " kaligood muslim nature.

Lamagoodle you are embarrassing yourself now by denying the fact you not only threatened to ban me but you threatened to IP ban me. Regardless of what happened you are one of the most dangerous beings roaming around this forum with your subtle campaigns to disparage and discredit islam. You blame every problem from social to the economical on the "af minshaar wadaads" and you have acted the judge and the jury on here condemning them when you have little to zero knowledge of Islam. You have admitted to drinking wine and sleeping around which makes you either jaahil or a non muslim.

We are not "kaligood muslimiin" for calling a spade a spade. If you make defaming remarks about Islam and its custodians the we will call you what you are even if you try your best to hide it. Lincoln once said this quote " you can fool some of the people most of the times and most of the peopl some of the times but you cannot fool all the people all the time" or something along those lines.

Wadaads are sometimes really not real wadaads. Who checks their credentials? Al Shabaab exposed a few who were teaching things which were shadier than an eclipse....practically sixir. There was a 'wadaad' who convinced people that if a woman calls you gay, it's OK to rape her.

Meta. Don't you drink? don't you sleep with women?

As regards banning you, I would have done that when you dedicated two threads in my name. You were smart and I applaud you for changing the picture.

I never condemned anyone though. I don't condone the death of other muslims. Adeer, do you take a few minutes, on what you write on these boards? You hate the majority of somali muslims and you have the guts to claim that you are a good muslim?

Misaajidka ciyaarta ka daa adeer.

I would rather be a "jaahil" or a "non muslim" than a tribalist who sings al-xamdulilah when other somalis are murdered.

I am really concerned adeer. You come across as a smart lad. So do a reflection of what you write on these boards. You should apologise to your fellow somali muslims for condoning the deaths of their family members. Waa iga tallo. If you feel that you want to discus islam with non-muslims, atheists, and others, do so in a manner that is in line with the teachings of islam.

I do not claim to know Islam. I have not kept it a secret that I prefer a secular state instead of islam by talk state. And that my knowledge of islam is very very limied. Yes, I condemn the crazy wadaads, the neo-wahabi agents. I view you and your kaligood muslim friends as insecere persons with a hidden motive.

Dude, you cannot advise on whether his Islamic beliefs are deviant nor can anyone else for that matter because none of us are qualified to issue Islamic edicts. All we can do until we acquire sufficient knowledge is to regurtitate beliefs that the scholars unanimously agree upon. It is like a donkey picking up a pen and passing legislation. You are entitled to your opinions but they are not based on Islamic dogma and are thus, subjective ramblings.
