I know it is a complex matter but my criteria is simple.

if you respect the madhabs I respect you. if not you are not worth shit.

the same with the fake sufi crew.
if you do some strange voodoo shit.

and you must be living in an isolated indian village if you dont know that the deobandi movement has been swallowed whole by salafism
Salafism doesn't mean ignoring the great 4 madhabs you fool, We respect the great scholars of Imam Shaafi, Imam Hanbal, Imam Hanafi and Imam Malik. In fact we follow them more than the ones who make blindfollowing(taqleed) their iman there only purpose.

Salafism just means following the sayings and actions of the Prophet and the sahabah, tabiceen and tabi tabiceen.

Great Sheikhs like Sh. Albaani (Rahimahullah) sifted through many ahadith and was a follower of the madhab.

Even the Founders of the madhabs advised following the Prophet and the pious predecessors
Imam Malik:
"Indeed I am a human, I can make mistakes, and I can be correct, so look into my opinion, everything that is in agreement with the Book and the Sunnah, then take it, and everything that does not agree with the Book and the Sunnah then leave it."
(Jamia’ Bayyan al-Ilm’ 1/775)
Imam Abu Hanifa said to his student Abu Yusuf:
“Woe be to you Ya’qoob. Do not write down everything you hear from me, for surely I may hold an opinion today and leave it tomorrow, hold another tomorrow and leave it the day after."
(Reported by ‘Abbaas and ad-Dooree in at-Taareekh by Ibn Mu’een vol.6, p.88)
Imam Abu Hanifa
“If a hadeeth is found to be authentic, that is my madhhab.”
(Ibn ‘Aabideen, al-Haashiyah vol. 1, p.63)
Imam ash-Shaafi’ee:
"It is obligatory to accept a report once it is proven, even if the Imams did not act upon this report."
(al-Risaalah p. 463)
Imam ash-Shaafi’ee:
“There is no one among us who has not had a sunnah of Allaah’s messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wassallam) elude him or have one slip his mind; so no matter what rulings I have made or fundamental principles I have proposed, there will be in them things contrary to rulings of Allaah’s messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wassallam). Therefore, the correct ruling is according to what Allaah’s messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wassallam) said, and that is my ruling.”
(Ibn ‘Asaakir, Tareekh Dimashq al-Kabeer vol.15, part 1, p.3)
Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal:
"The opinion of Awzaa'i, the opinion of Maalik, the opinion of Abu Haneefah: all of it is opinion, and it is all equal in my eyes. However, the proof is in the narrations (from the Prophet (sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam) and his Companions)."
(Ibn `Abdul Barr in Jaami' Bayaan al-'Ilm 2/149)
I can go on and on, wallahi these scholars knew they were fallible and that sometimes something they were unaware of or slipped their mind could occur. They did not encourage blind following a madhab or subscribing to one.
Grandpa, if that is the case, why Salafis follow Islamic Jurisprudence and take every ayah (verse) and hadith literally without applying context? The consensus among Islamic scholars in the past was follow one of the madhabs in order to stop create so many deviant groups and sects within Sunni Islam. Sheikh Mohamed Ibn A/Wahhab rejected all madhabs before him and started his own.

Maasha'Allah, this young Sheikh summit all of it up for us: Real Sufis and real Salafis are brothers and sisters in faith. The solution is always in the middle. Dissension is haram (forbidden) in Islam. Islamic unity is more important and the responsibility of all Muslims. Stop putting down your brothers and sisters on the other side. If you see real bid'ah, your responsibility is to warn. If you do that 2 or 3 times, your work is done. Stop the attacks and barrage against the other side. Use the hadiths in Muslim and Bukhari.

But Sufi brothers (remember I say Sufu brothers) practicing Michael Jackson's Thriller song, the break-dance, and other stuff is something that I can't let it go! When humor presents itself, I would be the first to grab it!

:deadrose:

Anyhow, you missed my concluding 2 videos where the Bangladeshi brother Sheikh Hassan Ali has advised the Muslims to take middle ground, and to avoid being caught up with the extremes. Unlike you Lej, I don't hate one particular Sunni group. Both Sufi and Salafi sects are my brothers in faith. I see both of them as my fellow Sunni Muslims. I am not caught up their rivalry and their daily barrages. I am in the mainstream Sunni Islam. 8-)

Sufism is a cult, and many Somalis practice this cult.

^^ Honestly, that's grossly misleading. I'm not into posting grotesque pictures, but if you really wanted to post Sufis at their most extreme then you'd post the Taliban (Deobandi, Chisti Sufis) executing women at close range. But I know better, Muslims ain't about killing innocent folk so I won't fuel the fire.

Gegiroor: fantastic video about adopting the middle path, thank you for the sound reminder saaxib.

Those deobandis are an exception , they're a sub sect of a sub sect , i'm talking about sufis and salafis worldwide , 99.9% of sufis dont get involved in politics or wars and they only do so when they're under attack (from salafis mostly). They just sing qasiidas and talk about how sheikh hebel flew on a flying carpet blah blah blah, while Salafis are notorious for political-religious violence from Iraq , syria , egypt all the way to nigeria they are engaged in violence , beheadings , kidnapping. Now can you name me any Sufi sect that engaged in violence from Africa , asia to europe like the salafis are and who beheads anyone who confronts them ? and calls others Muslims kafir ? You cant because they dont exist.

Walaalo, just refer to the State Department's list of designated terrorist organizations. Not only will you see many non-salafi groups (including Shias, interestingly), you'll see Christian, ultra-leftists, and anarchists on there. The point being, extremism exists everywhere. But the media wants us to believe otherwise.

I know I won't change the hateful attitude Sufis have for Salafis, and vice versa, but it doesn't hurt to try. There might be one or two people who think for themselves and can open their minds to that facts and question the popular rhetoric spewed by both sides.

Yw, bro Kareem9. I would advise you to ignore this fella named Alpharabius as his ramblings make no sense at all. He just one extreme who wants to blame one side while ignoring the other. It is better to ignore people like him.

Gegiroor, bro, kulligeen walaalo baan nahay. If I can reason with walaaleheena, it's worth a try. We all mean well, at the end of the day.
