Tell me your clan and I will tell you which category they fall into.

Abgaal are just laandheere
Habargidir is not only laandheere but strongest and the bravest clan on earth. You are very lucky that you are married to Habargidir.

Am only stating facts. You rely on DNA test and I on the reality on the ground. Nothing to do with insecurity. Am more than comfortable in my skin, my clan, my faith my Soomalinimo.zumaale wrote:No need to get emotional son and throw daggers at me. Where did I insult you? Zumaale.
it will take more than a DNA test to make your clan relevant in the political, economical and social landscape of Somali.
I am happy with the skin I live in. Political and economic factors can change with time but nothing can change the blood that flows through your veins. My quest is to determine that the people I share a Qabil with are my brothers by blood and not an attempt to inflate my clan ego.
What can DNA prove? What possible benefit can it bring the Dir people in their dire situation? What will it add to your Deen and Iimaan? What comfort will it serve you in trial of the grave?
You are a qabilist but a courteous and polite one.

Itrah, you're better than that.
Honestly, couldn't care less about that genetic test.
You take everything you see on the internet as a quran.
From two or three Isaaq members that toke that majestic test,
you conclude that they're unrelated.
Ee cadhi iska dheq neyo.

You don't understand how genetics & statistics works. You can have as few as 5 consistent samples and the results will extrapolate to millions people.Rambie wrote:Itrah, you're better than that.

Testing more people will only lead to the same pattern being repeated.

You see, brushing million with 5? Well, what about other "non consistent" results, did you take that into consideration?Itrah wrote:You don't understand how genetics & statistics works. They could have been all taken from a single area or a particular family. So you covered the whole of
HA who live from Hargiesa to Djibouti or HY who are all over SL to valid your unknown majestic test ?
You put too much fate in that website.

Saaxib why do you follow me around every time I make a relevant comment on DNA? You can't force me to stop discussing what I consider pertinent to a particular debate.jalaaludin5 wrote:

Are you thick or something? How many times have I told you that I have an anthropological interest in DNA and seek to discover the validity of clan lineages, particularly mine. So please do me favour and put me on your ignore list as you are clearly troubled by some truths I have raised.
Lastly, you allude to the 'dire' situation of Dir. Nigga please, next time you are Galbeed or Djibouti, please pass my greeting to my flourishing kin. I am Reer Mudug and I assure you, my kin are preoccupied with herding their camels and are not involved in any conflict. So stop using using the Hiiraan conflict where as things stand, we are in our Deegans and have had the upper hand in the latest round of battles to try and score cheap points.
Cuqdada ka qaabtid DNA Illahi ha ka daaweyo.
Re: Question! Serious answers please
If five completely random unrelated individuals from 'population X' turn out to be 100% Mongoloid. Would you be willing to bet your money on that 'population X' being less than 80% Mongoloid overall? If you say yes, then you are a complete moron. No other way of putting it. Same logic applies to these Isaaq results.Rambie wrote:You see, brushing million with 5? Calm down Itrah, no need to get emotional here.It depends on the population, if it was done on a small rural village, than of course
the chances are higher for them to be related. Nevertheless, if individuals from "population" who are unrelated
and turned up to be 100% match, can you say without a shred of doubt that the whole population in that area are matched?
You see, it can go both way.there are many variables, everybody can cherry pic results to suite his perception. An unknown online website
that was started in 2007 can't confirm or disprove a linage that extended hundreds of years with millions of descendents.
