I think he is mix with xabeshi there is a very few who are mixed, it happened a very long time ago in nazret. A few isaaq men marry ethiopian women, they never came back, some even became high ranking ethiopian officials.

SL had no army nor independent rulers of their own. They were no stronger than Ogaden because had they being they would not have lost Haud.

The only reason Makonnen didn't occupy Hargeisa was the British who still had rule over SL while in Ogaden it was never really strong and later they abandoned.

The Abbysinians even raided inside SL and wrote to Sh Madar.

It looks like some brothers think they actually had NATO forces.

Documents coming and you can rebuttal that like the civilized world does. Everyone can claim their tribe was NATO and everyone else were Hamas

End of the day SL lost Haud and Ogaden. History must be told with transparency.

ogaden was transfered 1948 before the Hawd 1955 and somaliland joined the somali republic 1960's to regain back the hawd but apparently somalia had other plans to self destruct.

Your mixing two different generations makonnen and haile salassie were two different era.

2/You first said" Ras my balls" was so fearless the English were in a defensive mode concerned he was gonna take Somaliland now you're switching to saying Ethiopia didn't "invade SL" because the british were there .
What makes your story one between Ethiopia and England and the various somalis clans fruits to be picked if you're not Ethiopian yourself ....a real one , not a HY resident of Haud

thats interesting cause my great grandfather is currently buried in nazret and i still have family members there.All my family can speak Amharic and Oromo,Some of my family members(uncles) did become officials during haile selsassie's reign but we left after the revolution to djoubiti,Somaliland and yemen.Majority of my family are now die hard Somaliland supporters except of few who think they are amxaar and married amongst them.This awrastaale dude must be one of those confused guys who had to live amongst the habashi for too long

Sahan and Drobbah I only said that because I have older cousins who married ethiopian womens and stayed nazret and addis and some joined the government at one time while others moved to the city but none of them act like hawdian he is one of the lost ones.

Some things he say is crazy, alot my family stay in hawd region they see themselves as somalilanders not just ethiopian.

Pertaining to the subject of the thread,I would think it's in the interest of the somalis of the region to stay with Ethiopia since the other two options would cause chaos and many deaths and also no development.Some people here want ogaden to join the circus down in Mogadishu which doesn't make anysense since these southerners will never get their shit together and would be of no benefit to them.Second option is being independent and we all know tribal wars between ogaden,Isaaq and other smaller tribes will be enflamed. Staying.Staying with the Ethiopian project is the way forward for now....
