No word from any of the ministries in Hargeisa about this but a badhasab told a bunch of shop keepers all the way in Ceerigabo to leave withing seven days? Since when did a governor have the power to deport in the first place? Second it would have started in Hargeisa and Burco where most of southerners live so why hasn't there been reports from there? there is "laanta socdalka" immigration agency ceerigabo branch with its own taliye qaybiid and the SL second largest navy base after berbera based in maydh both have the power to detain, arrest, & deport...fyi the navy sends yemanis back to the other side of bada cas...

Does each immigration branch operate independently if not why hasn't there been a report from the Ministry of Immigration in Hargeisa? Like I said it's premature to take this at face value until an official statement is released by the Ministry in Hargeisa. Secondly what Yemenis are sent back the ones who wanted to come are already in the country.

I think this has much more to do with getting more revenue than a political motive.
Southerns have many shops and businesses in Somaliland it would be stupid to deport them all.
A 15$ is not much for middle class southerns but the majority are poor people, you're asking a family
of 10 people to pay 150$. I don't think that's fair, and it's even more difficult for those living in miyi. There
should be a grace period of 6 or at least 3 months before implementing this new law.

where is the evidence that snm fought for seprate state formed in 18 may 1991... fourteen years after the first group of snm crossed the Ethiopian boarder in 1977 after the dagaalkii 77...snm and somaliland are two different animals... in fact somaliland lead by Egal a former fagash kacaanist went to war with the snm in 1994 & 97...in order to disband the snm guutos...go and tell the liberation and glory bs. to your kin...for a fact lixle aun the poster boy of snm whose death 17 October 1984 is maalinta shuhada snm birthday...has probably never ever heard of the concept of somaliland...sorry to burse your bubble...
