Honey, I aint no broke farax. I would buy guy a green dress, shoes made of gold, a new iPhone every year, etc. you can keep the welfare money, all I need is to live large and enjoy London's high class neighborhood at taxpayers tab.

Unless the proposal is that certain councils not provide housing because private tenants would pay more, there's no getting out of this type of situation for the foreseeable future.

Currently it is the council's responsibility to provide affordable housing and the broader argument in case you've missed it is that houses are a lot less affordable in London.
