Notice how Hollywood went out of their way to hire Barkhad Abdi as the main representation for Somali males in Hollywood as a means of downplaying our natural good looks.?
Nothing happens without reason in western media, and believe me it all has a nefarious agenda to it. To put it clearly, it is to split the Somali family up by creating a bad public image for Somali males, and making the Somali culture appear inferior and savage in nature.
Going back to our physical features, Somalis usually have balanced facial characteristics, the nose is not too big, the eyes are perfectly oval shaped, the cheekbones are high and the hair line is delicate and high up on the face. Contrary to popular belief, a high hairline is actually a requirement for facial beauty. This is why you hardly ever see a super model with a low lying hairline.
Somalis also tend to be gracile and delicately built, with pronounced and well formed limbs, fingers and body structure. We are not too muscular and usually never built to be overweight lending to our slight frame. This does not mean that there are often times exceptionally powerfully built specimens amongst us.
From my research I believe we descend from the tibes of Mannasah and Ephraim of Samaria which was their major city in Judea. These people were known as the Samaritan (Samatar) Hebrew people or the descendants of the tribe of Joseph (Yusuf). Nabi Yusuf was known for his exceptional good looks and Sarah the mother of Israel was also known for her beauty (half the beauty of all women since the time of our mother Hawa).
Arthur de Gobineau who is famous for developing the Aryan Master Race theory considered Somalis (when he traveled to French Somaliland) to be so Beautiful and exotic people
