welcome bree.
i want to thank you all for keeping your replies very professional, i appreciate it very much.
as for Sir s.lander.boy ik probeer het tenminste om het te bannen als het mij lukt maar ik word niet the ayan hirsi van England...lol bedank 4 je steun...
My fellow maliz we need to build our country and culture back to the respectable way it was, before we refugee'd ourselvs.
most of the somalis in the western countries are known to be hard workers. we tend to seek independance by opening up family business and avoid Corporate employment. i love these charateristics we have!!!!
anyway my point is; khat will only distract us and those of you that have control over the amount of khat u chew a week fair play to u all however we need to consider those that depend on the substance and they are the once tha need help...those that develop psychosis symptoms and chew it like 'hilib'.
banning might drive most of them to rob places and spend a family's monthly income support on it but atleast one thing is for sure......access to this substance will be minimized, employment rate will increase, devorce rate/domestic violance and diseases will decreas.
it is understandable that the first couple of months will drive ppl crazy but i think in a while they might get used it and learn to compromise.
i know some of you might find it all funny but think it through,,,,this is not just another topic yeah!!
thank you guys xx

keep the chad!!!!!!!!!!!!!
chewing that green plant is a true symbol of being a Somali.
stereotypes of British people:
the big bang....
cockney accent
london bridge
Somali’s stereotype:
Bariis & pasta with muus
fat woman with huge asses
skinny man
Chad equals yellow stained teeth
see through Somali dress
keep the symbol

I for one certainly believe that banning jaad might make our Somali men more productive in society, obviously it isn't something that will happen straight away, but in the long run inshaAllah. Immediate effects, jaad would certaintly be avaliable via the black market and prices would be sky high...ppl would still want to support their habit and most likely cutting back on things they need for themselves or families....i believe in the long run inshaAllah it will all be worth it.
