Abtidoon yare don't manage it, he owns it. He purchased the old land, dont mistake his young image he is one of Mogadishu HG Multimillionaires who become wealthy past 30 years on Export/ import security farming and hotel business.

We have become so desensitized to violence, everything is a passing blur. That's why if you read Abkoow, you would think all this started now.

When everything is a blur, you don't have a reference point which is why some people can't appreciate the sheer improvement that saw Al Shabaab's pathetic attack yesterday where most of the dead were their gunmen and the response to them resolute and overwhelmingly.

Compare that to Hassan Sheekh's time when Shabaab passed not only miles of checkpoint but blasted through Vila Somalia gates and went office to office INSIDE Villa Villa Somalia killing a dozen people including aids to the top leaders (both PM and Pres were not there).

Uh, the US drove from Kuwait straight to Baghdad with no resistance and after defeating the conventional forces we saw what led to the SURGE when US troops couldn't even get out of the green zone without IEDS and hit and runs.

Shabaab is NO LONGER a conventional army which is why they are now an insurgency. A conventional army is one you SEE, an insurgency depends on STEALTH.

The challenges posed by an insurgency are difficult but it is a sign of SUCCESS that Shabaab has to resort on that instead of being a conventionql enemy with the powers they had before controlling major towns like Mogadishu, Baydhabo, Kismaayo, Baardheere, etc.

This can be solved by MANPOWER which takes time because Somali troops are just now being trained after not having a professional army for 20+ years.

The more soldiers trained the more bases that can be built and the more units to take over small areas to police.
