This is why they didn’t want to rush into the conclusion without some evidence being done. You can’t just go to the media and say 90 people died just after the qarax took place 30 mins ago. It is unprofessional and stupid. Even Developed countries don’t do that

The international media were reporting as " huge blast rocked mogadisho, the death toll so far is 76, and could be more as there are others that is unaccounted for"
God, how awfull is when kids try to look smart by trying to cover up another cover up.
Investigation has to be done before they say how many people died and they did, dumbass !!
When coming in front of the public, one has to be prepared, inverstigation or not. The mayor looked cluless, the other one, persuading the mayor to hide, while the other telling him to tell the truth. They simply could say, "the investigation is ongoing but what we have right now such amount of death, could be more, and others unaccounted for"
You're trying to defend the "undefensible" dumb.

He, even, said, "the terrorist were going to target important places, but luckily couldn't" that means civilian lives are cheap. Dumb.

It’s a tragedy. I am reminded of a speech by Ahmed Madoobe years ago who said why don’t we attack AS all at once and overwhelm them instead of allowing them to pick us off one by one.

Civilian lives don’t matter to the FG and the regional states. These tragedies will continue when you have selfish leadership at every level. It is time that the people of Xamar take things to their own hands and refuse to pay taxes to this government. No services = no taxes. Let the MPs, FG and all others fund themselves

Who will guarantee their well being? The FG can barely secure their own staff.

AW, wallahi ninyaho my sympathies are exhausted. Every strp forward, there is something taking us back two steps. Personally I realized I am in no position to tell those people what to do. They are being pummelled enough with me.

Something has to give though. Something.

There are families, mothers, siblings, relatives who all know and protect Al Shabaab fighters.

I think they are the ones we are waiting on to break the stalemate

That is exactly what the officer was doing. He was telling the mayor to not rush into the conclusions. Meaning the investigation is ongoing

Voltage,

Alright say they decide to out AS suspects to the government, how will the government ensure that they are protected? AS has infiltrated the FG at all levels.

I don’t get why there has been no resignation of the Security Minister, Interior etc.

Nomand

Bosaaso and Hargeisa have better governance and their governments are more accountable to their people than the FG and BA are to Reer Benadir. Secondly these are qabiil homogenous cities which makes policing it much easier. Thirdly Xamar is a more valuable prize and so AS will invest in seizing it than worry about a rural backwater

Mustafe, you can tell "on that moment" casualties count without hiding, but say there might be more.

It's exhausting reasoning with people who refuse to accept something soo reckless as what that mafio oday did. Take BK for example, people are claiming hadalkiis has been misconstrued and did in fact opened the show with condolence message to Xamar. They failing to see the bigger picture that it's not OK at any circumstances to make comments like that casually when you got countless children, wives, husbands, sons, and daughters lost to a masiibo.

What’s more funny is they knew the injured, but could not give a figure of the dead. All he had to say was at this moment of time we know x amount of people are dead, we will update the media. Isaga iyo mayor finish meesha way ku ceeboobeen.
Beenta jooji sxb in 88 to 91 he was at the immigration office in Mogadishu. He has done more for Beesha Isaaq than your tribalist mind can imagine, welcoming them to his own home, providing them passports immediately, helping release SNM suspects with no evidence, that could’ve been held. Some of them live in my Town and still thank him for his help!!

For those calling him Kacaanist for working for the Government, Who didn’t work for the Kacaan? Lol From Caydiid to C/Yusuf to Cigaal to Silaanyo to Rayale, to Faisal to Muse to the VPs of Somalia the HJ ismacil Abokor to the Abgal guy, to every Hawiye, Isaaq & Darood & Dir basically everyone who worked for the Government must be a Kacaanist.

Aun to the victims.

Al shabab is foreign backed, it's objectives and actions are devised not in Somalia but in offices outside Somalia by people that are not Somali.
Its first and only objective is to hinder the stability of Somalia. By keeping the status Quo.
This is why it is so hard to defeat, you are not defeating a ideology or group, they are a basically just soldiers with foreign money, leaders and clients. They are just simply doing these foreign governments and entities bidding.

Before Al shabab it was clan militia gaining weapons and money from foreign goverments and clients and now we have this.

It's sad to say any government in xamar city state I suspect can do very little.
