We can only co-exist if both sides agree to co-exist. Islamists don't want to coexist. They don't believe non-Islamic governance is legitimate. They believe that Muslims are destined to rule the world, and that Muslims must attack non-Muslims until they submit to Islamic rule. That's the rub.

Don't take my word for it. Ask the Islamic militants on this very site. Ask these questions of Aiman and Musliima:

Are western governments legitimate?

Should Muslims attack non-Muslims until they submit to Islamic rule?

Very simple.

Now, don't confuse my submission to the edicts of the US Army with how society in general should be run. Two different things. I am a soldier, and while I am a soldier, I belong to a certain closed society with its own rules and dictates. However, no where will you find me suggesting that the edicts that rule the Army should rule society in general.

If the Islamists on this site want detente, they could have it. But they don't want it. Ask TZ.

Actually that is not the case, and its only in the Navy they say Aye Aye sir.

First of all, your officers woudn't march me into a death hole and that is why I obey my officers and NCO's orders. Its called "trust".
