KK,

Laughing Laughing Thats messed up. There was a time where I used to kick it with garoob. They were very nice, sweet, kind, supportive and awesome.

I somehow always left when her child asked me, "Can you come to Bring Your Father to School day !" Shocked

But if there are no kids involved, then why not ? Just have to find the reason for the divorce.

And KK, she can't pull the whole, "Abowe, i never done this before" excuse Laughing

Isamahan,

Is that the case ? I better brush up on my fake Marexan abtiriis.

There are many garoobs in MPLS. However, i never judge a woman on her garoob status. I am not shallow Very Happy

If we get along, and she is good to me, then its all good.

See that is why I'm afraid of marrying because I don't want to end up a garoob Laughing Laughing . I consider myself very independant and alot of somali men don't want a woman who does her own thing. I guess its just a matter of finding someone who understands you and share the same goals in life.

KK,

Laughing Laughing Saxiib, that was some funny sitaution.

Somehow, gabdha london are too obessed with guur. Each one I meet wants a commitment in 6 months or less.

I ask them, "Are you sure that I am the one for u ?"

Their confidence in saying, "Yes" shocks me esp since they have known me for a short time.

But with that, I wish you caano iyo wiil.

KK,

Also don't forget, fuuritanka is not a big deal to Sacad women. They are very independent and can survive without nin.

AW
what you smoking "Fuuritanka is not a big deal to sacad women". Yeah we are independant but me and my sacad sistas are not planning on getting the big D. And about the girls in UK wanting guur...its not only them. Even the guys in london and Manchester are all about it. When I went to Manchester, every guys pick up line was about marriage, and after the 1st month, they talk about commitments. Its just in our nature to rush into things....that is why you end up in divorce. But between me and you.... sacad guys in UK are more gentlmen then the States. Shocked

I dispute that. It depends on where you been meeting them. Come down to the Carolinas, VA, MD or FL and you'll be impressed.

I would never have the guur talk until 18 months into the relationship. Whats the rush and if u can stand each other after a long period of time, then its worth the guur.

The difference in the ones I meet in UK is that they are charming, and classy and they got their SH!t together but here in MN esp MPLs not impressed at all. I'm in Orange county, Cali now doing some studies...but I don't see alot of sacad ppl, most of them are OGs and others and when we talk we always end up in the opposite sides of the spectrum.

Isamahan,

We got a nice lil Sacad community in the MidAtlantic States. There as some really nice Sacad folks who still have that "old Sacad" spirit and show a lot of love for each other. We give each other a lot of support when it comes to many things from funerals and aroos.

I dunno about MPLS so I can't speak about them. I dunno any Sacad folks in OC but some in Bakersfield and SD.

Brothers in the US got it together. Among my 6 close Sacad buddies, we got an Aeronautical Engineer, a Computer Scientist, a succesful entrepeneur, a Public Health Specialist, a Lawyer, and a CPA Accountant. However, you won't find them in Somali events due to them being dispersed far from Somali centers.

Out where I live, most people assume I am Darood because 90% of my friends are them. My accent doesn't help either. I sometimes wished I had an Abgaal accent so that folks never make that mistake.

See that is the problem with Somalis, the minute they become successful they disappear from their communities. I'm sure

that there are alot of successful sacad folks in US, but they need to be involved in their communities. See my brother is

like your friends. He is in medical school now and even when he was in undergrad collage, me and him used to always fight

about why he is not involved in his community. His excause is that he was too busy and I had weird levels of energy

with everything I'm doing. See awhile ago i was volunteering at a somali community that helps women that was run by

this darood guy and I worked with this reer hilowle brother for like 3 months and all along he assumed I was darood. Then

one day one of my cousins that he knew came to bring me lunch and when he found out he confessed that he tought I was

darood. WHy? He said that the dude who run the place told hm that he liked me and said he tought I was pretty, so I must

be MJ. That was the funniest day....the brother fought with the guy and quit later that day.

Isamahan:

Its like we are scattered all over the places: Delaware, New Jersey, North and South Carolina and Florida. These states have few Somalis and so ain't our fault we don't hang out that often with the exception of, yes you guessed it: XUUSKA CABDALLAH IYO CAWAREERE Laughing & if a Sacad person is getting married.

Don't worry, we discover a Sacad in strange places like Mississippi, Arkansas and other locations.

So I do apologize if you had some unpleasant runnings with some wayward Sacad males but its a matter of meeting the right folks in the right places.

No need for apology my brother, I enjoy my folks company. THere are plenty of sacad in mpls that i know, I just havn't meet Mr. Right yet, but he will show up at the right time inshallah. Anyways Cabdala iyo Cawareere xuus? woow, you ppl in the mid-atlantic are very spirited Laughing Laughing I have never seen that done in MN.

You are right sacads are everywhere. I have family in Maine, boston, westcoast in seattle and OC. They're scattered all over the place.
