Re: Ismacil M. H. Buubaa Somali Foreign Minister
The irony is that Issaqs might hold the key in the unity of Somalia. Seeing that the so called ICU viewed the quasi state Somaliland aka Issaqland seceding from Somalia proper as a threat to Somaliweyn, this will backfire and ignite nationalism. Once the morals of the Somali peoples strengthen and backed by a governement, economical restrictions will be subsequent. Shut down on ports and an embargo on trades this will strangle the organized mobb running waqooyi galbeed which provides them financing for there activities.

Its inevitable down the line once Somalis are on the same page and a functioning government has entire control of Somalia, the SNM remnants will be dealt with.

problem is we will not tolerate misrule from others,
and we are not power hungry enough to want to rule you and sort out your mess.

Re: Ismacil M. H. Buubaa Somali Foreign Minister
I predict the 2008 election in Somaliland will be a make or break deal and I think Mr. Riyoole will play a big part in this. So will he run? It seems so, but will he play it fair? Time will tell, but I doubt it since he has already dismissed the election committee. The word out there as of now though, is good number of Somaliland parliament members want Mr. Riyoole out of office and are on the process of taking a motion to boot him out of office through the parliament, why? Maybe it has something to do with his latest decision of dismissing the Election committee or maybe not, but what ever it is there is a big up roar in that part of the world. Am certain Mr. Riyoole will not go down without a fight if this movement within the parliament picks up momentum, but I doubt it will ever prove to be a threat to his presidency, the man is too powerful. So how does a man this powerful lose an election? I don’t know, but either way people will not be happy.
Anyhow, Mr. Yusuf couldn’t have asked for a better time to be in power. Am sure he is counting on Mr. Riyoole to not sit this 2008 Election out peacefully.

Gurery, fair enough.
I always knew isaaqs and somalilanders in general, whether dhulbahante, gudabirse, others were the backbone of somali unity.
I believe your dhaqan is superior in contrast to people from mudug and galguduud who are quite the oposite and power hungry.
Somalilanders and southern somalis from beledweyn to nfd have one thing in common and its their loyalty and trust worthy, something our madax adeeyg brothers lack.

SNM remenants exist under the cloak of the so-called S-land administration. They will be dealt with eventually, it was a clean sweep for the ICU, and a break away especially foreign interest in the region will not happen
