Some of us just have bigger goals in life than a little apartment somewhere with 5 children slaving away in the kitchen. My parents don't expect me to cook or do house chores PERIOD. They expect me to focus on school and help myself and family in the future. It's ironic how you hate education. Anyways if my family was on welfare as you say why would I dream of having a chef? Wouldn't common sense and logic tell me to learn quickly how to cook food? Why do you so badly want me to cook? All of us are good at diff. things you know. Say what you'd like but I for one refuse to cook and yes I will get a chef.

"weird parenting"? My parents are the best in the world, many people say that but mine actually are. They emphasize on religion and education. They don't care for some of the cultural aspects shall we say but who cares.

I personally take a joy in cooking and I love to cook and entertain my friends and family...

You don't understand..Cooking is like hard work for me...So yes it takes my time. These ppl are acting as though its simple to make pasta like in the Somali restaurants when in reality it's not.
