SB would have never let Ethiopian of all people kill somalis with inpunity, in their country.
if he had any idea of whats going on in somalia today he would turne in his grave.
despite what he did walaahi the man is a hero in his own right and its only today that those who hated him with passion started taking back lots of thing they said about the man.
taking into acount what he did to waqooyi/ isaq and the bombing of hargeysa, he still comes out on top with flying colours in regard to konfur's sorry ass state of afairs..
No-one is disputing the fact that the guy did so many great things for Somalia. Unfortunatly, what he did post-77 undid anything he did for his country! and it is as simple as that!

What did Barre's sticking to power take your clan ? Who killed Somaliweyn ? Barre. Who transformed Somalia from a land of democratic rule to a state of autocracy ? barre.
21 years of Barre rule sowed the seeds of disaster
A/Wahab,
If the isbaaros were never installed, the city never looted bare we would all be sitting here saying the USC were brave, revolutionaries ousting that dictator, however the reign of terror has actually elevated MSB's status even more than it was.
With each passing day the cross section of people from all qabils who praise MSB is increasing by the day. On the flipside I have never seen a Non Hawiye praise the USC, and to be frank I haven't even seen a lot of Hawiye praise it. The Somali community have rejected MSB aun meddling in Somali affairs from his grave as an excuse for your foolishness. They've dismissed you.
I have never seen any decent Somali people praising the dictator. The only people who do so are diluted and confused Marehan teenagers who cant find anything to be proud of but the henious actions of the dictator! It is an inferiorty-complex at its best!
Siad Barre was a secular administration akin to all forms of secular governments that should receive no support but in reality how could you a supporter of a foreign invader army killing your people and shelling you mothers and sisters for a over a year now have a cause against siad barre?
this is dayniile a cilmaani website nonetheless but one with an article that is appropriate to your post
Laa xawla, Nin dhintay kabahiisaa dhaamo. Abdiwahab Siad Barre killed as head of state but akhii you mean to tell me today is a day to celebrate? for what and from what? they say to be happy about change, it must be better than the status quo. whatever after siad barre has come that makes you celebrate his or anyone's overthrow?
As Koronto accurately analyzed of Twisted, what is talking about injustice yesterday, when a GREATER injustice is occurring today?
ilaahayow iimaanka hanaga qaadin, inshallah diinta baa guulaysan, and all forms of cilmaani systems will be abolished, in the future it will not be habar gidir vs. mareexaan, but ehlu diin vs laa-diin and this is what we look forward to bi idni laah
I am liking the recent Voltage 2.1! keep up man!

Re: 17 Years Ago .........................
No matter how many people died in the hand of ordinary Military or what not MSB is to blame because as the Commander in Chief and head of the nation it was his responsibility to stop it and he didnt and watched the bombing of cities and on top of that rented South Africans to do it for him, Now how low can u get. I will forever blame him for the Massacre in Hargeisa and the agony he caused my Grandmother.
Re: 17 Years Ago .........................
^^i bet your grandmother is well better of than those in konfur!
my grandmother is in the same position as yours and at the tender age of knocking on 100 she never looses any sleep over yesteryear's mistakes.
after all is said and done, SB is in his grave and its un-Islamix to keep going on about the past mistakes of the dead.

Awdal, people will die when their Lord as written for them. Somali say nin dhintay kabahiisaa dhaamo, Siad Barre's shoes are worth more than he will ever be anymore in this lifetime and so we will. Tell your grandmother, salvation comes from Allah, and death comes from Allah and it is He who created to whom we go back to.
