I will give that the W state is top in Medical related fields, but Minnesota is pretty good in all other topics, ranking in the top 20's in every other Major fields, with high ranks in Engineering and health fields too

I always said if the UW was a private school and its acceptance rate was decreased, it would no doubt compete with Harvard and Princeton for prestige but the UW has an obligation not only to Washington state but to the greater puget sound area to be a public and open university giving everyone a deserving chance

The money is a killer that's why, students at Seattle University pay more in one quarter than UW students do all year and the UW (shock beyond shock as if hey need to) put in place the "husky promise" last year, to entice more minority and low-income students, free tuition if your family makes under a certain income bracket ka waran

Damn skippy the UW is not working towards prestige but it will sure leave the prestige schools in dust while actually serving its community
