I have never come across a Somali guy or girl drunk, there are few men in my community who are alcoholics and always have a bottle, everyone knows them, i dislike alcohol and would not befriend anyone who drinks regardless of their religion.

people here think drinking = alcaholism straight away and dont understand that it kreeps up on people . in no way am i defending myself or others but

the first drink ( watever reason ) people usualy take it easy and enjoy themselves and due to loss of inhibitions have more fun then theyve had before . then the next time they happen to be out with oher people that drink they see no point in refusing because theys done it before and so on till they feel they cant even have fun without drinking .

they slowly loose touch with their old non drinking friends due to emmbarrasment or simply dont wana hide it . they find themselves surrounded by other drinkiners who will pressure them into it when ever they can because ther dealing with their own demons and missery loves company.

and trust me to the people who saying that xalimos can handle their drink more , not true it just quantities . a farax maybe be vomoting in the streets after a whole bottle of jack daniel . but ive seen xalimos runnin around the house crying and her dirac over her head after 2 glasses  .

alcahol is a disgusting addiction and users are not even aware of their addiction because of the society we live in ( UK for me) were its advertised daily and easily accessible and the stereotypes that alcaholics are homless old white men who cant string a sentance together .

dont touch the shit

And how would you know that unless you tested it? I don't think drinking alcohol can be associated with enjoying or having fun. Khamr smells disgusting and since it's an artificial product, it can't be as sweet and refreshing as fruit juices, milkshake, vimto and other soft drinks.

You thought it tastes nice? You thought wrong. Ask yourself; does smoking cocaine, crack or other drugs taste nice? Does chewing qat taste nice? No. All those illegal drugs, grasses and liquor taste disgusting and bitter. The only appeal is the hallucinations you experience.
