How could you forget about the Somali nomad's headrest, this is where the name Barkin comes from. You thought our ancestors slept on pillows?

Somali people back in the day used to rest their head on this Barkin, so their faces weren't vulnerable to snakes and scorpions and also to prevent deep sleep so they can watch their herd while they're sleeping (raggeedi). And also to keep their hairdo look fresh to death.

This is not entirely unique to Somalis, the Boni people in Northeast Kenya have it too, but nobody knows them, so let's just pretend they don't exist. As a matter of fact I'm gonna search the wikipedia page of the Boni people and delete the page.

the areas where famine usually happens, whether be it in Kenya or Ethiopia, are inhabited almost exclusively by ethnic Somalis.

the other thing, Kenyan's cannot be described as skinny people but most of Ethiopians fit that description, however.

and Somali anjera, not Ethiopian anjera, is commonly used only by ethnic Somalis.

yes you are right that all these three things are found in east Africa but they are also found mostly in Somali populated areas only.

Those camels were compensation after 2 somali men killed an australian man who travelled with the british, they gave them a camel and a she-camel and they breeded and now there is a camel community in australia.

Read the article. The Australian camels were from the Canary Islands, India and Pakistan. The Aussies had a regular stud for fifty years and bred a superior animal.
