I wonder how people can speak of immigrants and migrations when Somalis from Somaliland and others go to Qabribayah, who wish to eventually transport themselves to places in Oromia and Ethiopia? Telling me to believe that all people migrating then and now are all just staying in the Somali region would be crazy to assume. Also if this act is carried out, it could create an negative atmosphere for Oromos and Somalis in Haraghee who live peacefully together, as it did 10-12 year ago. This would not be good news for them.
If Oromos refugees failed to contribute it is not because of the failures of them but the failures of the local leaders of Somaliland. It is because of their lack of creativity and problem solving skill is that a problem exists. So simply using Oromos as scapegoats does not make up for the lack of accomplishments.
Seeking liberation is not that simple as you put it. It can take generations to fic the failures of our current leaders but thankfully Oromos are easily becoming one of the most educated peoples of the Horn of future generations.
I'm sorry but that is simply not good enough. If persecution OROMOS is that bad in OROMIA then you really ought to not run away from the problem when the problem is you earth, land, soild and country; you man up and do something about it; you organise yourself and do something about it. Simply running to Somaliland to beg does not make up for failure, cowardice, internal divisions and political impotence. By allowing your people to run to distant lands you are only removing the potential buildup of pressure that would lead to real political change and thus prolonging the current political reality.
You talk as though you're convinced it is better for your people, OROMOS, to stay in Somaliland than go back to their own lands. This is a sad reality.
The onus or burden of proof of contributing to society when in Somaliland falls upon the OROMOS and not the Somaliland gov. Either SOmaliland benefits from you or you leave. Simple really.
Seeking liberation may not be simple but it needs to be done nonetherless and it is not even relevant to this issue per se.
You are the one that initially referred to liberation not me. I was simply responding to your assertion. But really what would be the benefit of liberation for oromo for the people of Somaliland? (Of course besides the notion of decreasing of immigrants). But Somaliland can limit these people coming without the need of freedom of Oromia. You would think border security would have been emphasized for a self proclaiming country.
Let me repeat and say this again I am against Oromos migrating to Somaliland! Oromos should stay and in thier land and try to benefit our own community. I am not saying lets develop Ethiopia so it can become the best country in the Horn but at least to try to help better our own selves as oromos for our own benefit.
But even i am against the regugee seeking migration, I am also obviously against this fascist type mentality that you people have.
