Re: Grandpa soo gal
I disagree very highly with you on this. I believe that the Sun orbits the Earth, I believe that the Qur'an tells us this, and I will always believe this. I do not care one bit what science may tell us about anything.
The sun's revolution around the earth is proven by the clear text of the Qur'an and rather it is your understanding of the Qur'an that is the problem. All science is based on human perception and I take Allah's word over human perception.
END OF STORY.

Let's reverse the question. How would the universe have to behave if the Earth were stationary?

That's clearly metaphorical bro, or do you think the sun legitimately "bows"grandpakhalif wrote:The following hadeeth does indicate that though:
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Dharr that the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) one day said: Do you know where the sun goes? They replied: Allaah and His Prophet know best. He (the Prophet) observed: Verily it (the sun) glides till it reaches its resting place under the Throne. Then it falls prostrate and remains there until it is asked: Rise up and go to the place whence you came

Damn, I'm starting to think you're an atheist trying to defame Islam by presenting Muslims as some backward neanderthals.
If so, epic trolling

Calling me an atheist? Defaming Islam? Come on bro, stop throwing such baseless accusations I am simply re-iterating the mainstream opinion of the culuma. May Allah curse me and break my back if I am such.

Wasn't science mandatory to graduate high school? It is well known that the sun has its own orbit. The sun orbits the center of the Milky Way (which is our galaxy). It takes the sun a little over 220 million years to complete ONE orbit. This is known as a galactic year. I hope I don't need to inform any of you of the orbit of the moon.
The sun does NOT orbit the Earth.

Re: Grandpa soo gal
Grandpa when it is night in Canada, and Day in China, when is the sun bowing? And you can prove this with a simple call to china right now, and ask them if the sun is shinning.

I don't know what your suggesting obviously bowing under Allah's throne is the matters of the unseen, so this argument is laughable.Perfect_Order wrote:Grandpa when it is night in Canada, and Day in China, when is the sun bowing? Alpha, you failed to address my points and now are attempting to derail off topic. SMH

No you don't.
Now let me ask you a similar question to the one u asked gp: Wasn't biology a mandatory class to graduate high school? It's well known humans evolved from a common ancestor with the apes and all the other creatures of the earth. We've been evolving the past 2.2 million years.
