Arab names or Somali names?

I'm not trying to be stupid but how can the names of the sahabas be Islamic names if when they were being named those names (at least for the vast majority of them) they were non-Muslims? :|

Khalid by the way is a pre-islamic name and apparently means in Arabic "The immortal". I swear that's one of the characteristics of Allah and humans shouldn't technically be called names that have such meanings?

Arabic name or somali is not a problem as long It has Meaningful meaning.

Ibtisaam means qoslaysa
Ancaam means animals
Sihaam means arrow falaar
Intisaar means gargaarte
Fida means furasho
Tasneem means water spring
Maymuun means weji furfuran

Fahad shabeel
Dalxa geed timireed
Azad libaax
Faarax yafraxu farxaan
By the way don't get confused these names are Arabic, siyaad, liibaan, faarax, luul, jaamac etc
Rabiic bin siyaad xaarisii waa asxaabi caan Ah oo aduunka dhan Laga yaqaano

Why? Rana is a girl's name meaning "beautiful, eye-pleasing display" and Kayvan means "world, universe". They both sound pretty decent.
