Good luck, bro. I remember it can be hella stressing. D'you guys have to take the GRE for grad schools in Canada?
Thanks man.

We don't have to take that here, but the application process for various scholarships and funding sources is tasking. How'd you find your experiences so far?
I took the long route and it took what felt like an eternity to get here. I quit a few times, chose to work after undergrad. But, after spending a few uncomfortable years answering to younger bosses who had higher education, I guess it gave me the needed courage to get back in to school. Sometimes it feels like I've been in school my whole life. 1st grade through 3rd grade was in Marka, a few grades in Xamar, high school here, then college, I'm still a student after all these years. Will be for another few more years.

Overall? Grad school is a different ball game all together. Not as tedious and discipline obsessed. You're an adult, professors know it and let you do your thing. It depends on the field, of course. Are you going to graduate with a BA or a BS?

Anytime, abti.

Build your marriage on the principles of the deen. I'd tell every newlywed couple to go to 'umrah as soon as they tie the knot. Be companions first and best friends. Then husband and wife. Ilaaheey talo saaro, inshallah.

For you, I'm sure it'll be balooni and probably loads of it, being a football fanatic.

Every wife's secret goal is to fatten you up with her delicious cooking (traditional girls). Its in their manuals that are passed down from mother to daughter. The first few weeks is usually a lot of fried, goey, extremely delicious home cooked meals. If you don't watch yourself during this stage, you're screwed. Advice? Eat healthier from the beginning. I'm kidding of course. But, try to eat healthy. New wife, new place, new beginnings, you can practically start new. New habits, new bed time, new whatever. Maybe go for long walks together? She could probably need the walk too. Don't let yourself go and never let kids get in between you & your wife. First take the time to get to know her, build a solid foundation, then kids. Kids need a secure home, parents who love each other and a lot of time, time away from your wife/vice versa.

There's lapses in judgement and there's making the conscious decision of moving in with some guy. Gotta live with the consequences

I've seen ppl come back from worse wallahi, her past might be ruined but theres a whole world of opportunity out there... Especially in places that support single moms as well as Canada does.
