You have to be pro Independence to want to run for office in SL therefore you can not be pro union. I don't think so, you just run for office because you want to be in the political game. A lot of people who are not the biggest believers at the same can be the biggest vocal advocates, if it gets you a position.

Take example Romney, he changes what he supports and what he is against based on who he is talking to, that is just politics.

in Somaliland one needs to pledge allagences to the SL flag and its constitution and number 1 article of the constitution is that Somaliland is an independent state.
