I have met my fair share of closet Marxists including an uncle of mine who refuses to pray and has been cursed by the wadaads. Yet he is very educated in the religion and defangs the so called self styled wadaads in any debates. His razor sharp tongue and logic shames forces them to flee into the refuge of rhetorical arguments.

There's no reason for me to miss a prayer. Nothing is more important than praying on time. For those who answered C,D,E, I suggest you check yourself before you reck yourself.

prayer is not a contest, it should be something private.

There's only one person(Based) who is, in effect, bragging about not praying, and that's mainly due to the doubts he's been entertaining about Islam for quite some time now. Doubt --> Cyncism --> "I'm too smart to believe in organized religion".........Met a few Somalis like that, lotta turmoil in their life(alcoholism, etc).
Based,
You came of age in the wrong time. Pre1991, you would have fit in and would be espousing Leninist, Marxism, Engels and Barre and torturing these religious zealots in detention centers until they accepted Marx as their personal savior.
Thank God that regime died.
Never again will Communism, Marxism and other ism shit blight our country.

I don't feel any difference when I pray or don't pray, call me the devil but I actually feel better when I don't. My days are so much less stressful when I'm not thinking about how to schedule my day around prayer, not farting or thinking about which public sink I'm going to stink up next, but I do try to make Jummah. I've decided to start praying proper when I'm 55+, retired and spend most my day on an armchair.
"Subhanullah, what if you die before that? Don't you know Allah can take your life at any moment?"
Sure. But it's not everyday you hear of a sexy, healthy 6"4 male dropping dead from unknown causes. I don't smoke, drink and generally try keep healthy. Statistically I can assume to leave past the age of 55. Of course it's not guaranteed, but I'l take my chances

i wanted to make one small correction. I said to pray on time, but i should have said try to pray on time, because i sometimes don't pray on time because i might be busy at work with something so i pray like 15 to 30 minutes later, i don't wanna be hypocritical.
praying on time, or atleast praying as soon as you can makes it much easier for us because as human beings, we're weak creatures and we need a system and structure in our lives so we can function better. when you delay making the salah, you get lazier by the time and it becomes burdensome. but when you're praying on time, or close to it, then you don't have to think about it and you just do it, it becomes a habit inshaa allaah.
