Just to clarify something, my above comment was direct respose to the OP's situation i.e woman is working/making money. As for your question, absolutely, if a man is able to suffice the needs of his family and expects his wife to be home, then there is nothing wrong with that. The topic was addresssing a man complaining about his wife's handling all his money and still feeling he is being inadequate to her needs. Ideally the solution here is for that husband to find a second job so he can afford to purchase gifts for his wife
